I am currently teaching myself film photography. I’m really attracted to the look of soft images and deep shadows.

This project was initially created for a Parsons class that focused on understanding the NFT market. Over this 5-week workshop, we questioned what happens to archival information when it becomes undeletable and how minting has an effect on the meaning of an archive. This project was titled traces, taking 5 pieces from time and giving them permanency to create a public community archive with my classmates. I chose to preserve people’s imaginary friends. I have continued working on this and I really enjoyed the process.

Nostalgia And Play As Design Inspiration @ Parsons
2022
Throughout this semester I have been examining the effect of childhood play on a designer’s creative process. I have taken psychology classes while in school and pulling from past work experiences, I am interested in how designers can use nostalgia as inspiration. My thesis question is explored through a book. I first gathered experiences from designers through a questionnaire. When creating the questions, I asked about their childhood experiences, and if any games or situations stuck out to them. I followed up asking about play in their current practice. I address the results of this within this book.
